MISSION

At The Culture Effect INC, our mission is to interrupt cycles of violence by transforming the behavioral patterns that create them. Through structured systems built on lived experience, we help individuals convicted of violent offenses develop accountability, discipline, and measurable non-violent outcomes that strengthen communities and public safety.

VISION

Our vision is a society where those once defined by violence become evidence of transformation proving that reconstruction of behavior is possible, measurable, and capable of creating generational peace.

PURPOSE

Our purpose is to create a structured space where lived experience becomes a spark for change. We provide a behavioral reconstruction system that identifies root causes, reshapes decision-making, and restores responsibility reducing harm, lowering recidivism, and redefining identity beyond past offenses.

A Message from our  CEO

 

When the founder is the evidence, the message becomes undeniable.

 

Siyo, my name is La’Ron Marshall,

I was born in Michigan and relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2023. I am Cherokee, Choctaw, and Creek. 

 

My story began with adversity. I grew up with a father who was barely present and was exposed to gang culture at the early age of 8. Those early experiences shaped my understanding of violence, survival, and the systems that impact our communities long before incarceration ever did.

 

I later served 20 years incarcerated, 5  years in the  state of Michigan, and 15 years in the federal system. That time built discipline, determination, and purpose, while revealing the urgent need for real solutions for justice impacted individuals and families.

 

At The Culture Effect Inc., we believe individuals with lived experience deserve high regard and respect. Our experiences earned expertise in criminology, human behavior, trauma, and a gps system that cannot be taught in classrooms.

 

Since my release in 2016, I have worked in high-crime communities engaging with adults and adolescents, facilitating interventions, and helping reduce violence and recidivism. My lived experience is not a liability,  it is one of my strongest qualifications.

EA (Executive Assistant)

Provides high-level administrative support to executive leadership, and often acts as a primary liaison to the Board of Directors. 

You'll play a crucial role in managing daily operations, freeing up leadership to focus on fundraising, strategic planning, and mission driven initiatives. 


Social Media Director 

Creates and executes strategic, mission driven campaigns across platforms to increase brand awareness, drive donations, and engage supporters. 

You'll analyze engagement data, manage content, and build online communities to boost, for example, donor acquisition and retention. 


Legal Analyst/Paralegal 

A comprehensive review of the organization’s operational, governance, and financial practices to ensure compliance with state and federal laws, protect TCE 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, and minimize legal risks. 

You'll identify vulnerabilities, such as outdated bylaws or, inadequate conflict of interest policies, to prevent liability.

Temp. Remote (HR) Director 

A temporary remote Human Resources (HR) Director is a senior level, 

 You'll bridge leadership gaps, implement  policies, foster the  culture, and manage payroll/benefits using virtual tools. 

 Plan and implement policies and methods to address employee relations and workplace culture. They also ensure compliance with lab.
